When I passed my bike test back in 1997 Chumbawamba we’re in the charts with “tubthumping”, & the worlds fastest production motorcycle was the Honda CBR Super Blackbird. 

Within a week of passing my test I’d sold my old Suzuki GSXR and bought an almost new Kawasaki ZXR. A few years of road riding saw me move onto 3 Honda Fireblades, two R1’s and lastly a GSXR 1000, before turning to off road & trail riding. Being from the North of England I cut my trail riding teeth along the tracks, trails & green lanes of Lancashire, The Lakes and the North York Moors, almost all of those old routes are now no more, having being declassified as byways and are no longer rideable legally.

This is where Spain came into my plan. I still love riding bikes, as well as spending time in the glorious sunshine that the region basks in, and there are hundreds of miles of trails here in the Almanzora Valley. And unlike other areas, they aren’t overcrowded or over used.

Hopefully ADV-Amigos will give me the opportunity to share this fantastic riding area with you.
